10 September 2013: This should brighten everyone’s day.

Apple has just sent out media invitations for its September 10 media event where the company is expected to introduce its next-generation iPhone hardware, reports The Loop. The event will begin at 10:00 AM Pacific Time and will be held at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California. The tagline on the invitation reads “This should brighten everyone’s day.”

The event is expected to include the introduction of two new iPhone models: an iPhone 5S successor to the current iPhone 5 and a lower-cost iPhone 5C that will reportedly have internal components very similar to the iPhone 5 but wrapped in colorful new plastic shells. The event will undoubtedly also see a final preview of iOS 7 before it released to the public.

Apple has also been reported to be launching new iPad and iPad mini models later this year, but they will not be making an appearance at this event. A number of Mac updates are also expected in the coming months, but they too are likely to held for a later date in order to give full focus for this event to the iPhone.

So let us know what you’re expecting!

Apple’s Come a Long Way Since This Original MacBook Reference Desig

At first glance it doesn’t look like much but this thing is a reference design of the first 13-inch MacBook. Remember those from 2006?

Looking through the Flickr collection of bits and pieces from Jim Abeles, you can see lots of stickers and stampings that prove this is most definitely a development kit allowing engineers easy access to every and any component. Heck, the Intel proc even says “Secret” on it.

iPad pocket Projector

The iPad Pocket Projector is the latest find from Hammacher Schlemmer, which specializes in pretty much anything awesome. This device is great for those of you who have jobs that take you in directions where you’ve got to give a lot of presentations on the go.

Operation couldn’t be any simpler. Just plug in to your iPad’s 30-pin charging port, and create a 35 lumen LED projector that is capable of 640 x 480 resolution for diagonal images from six inches to 60. (Recommended distance at eight to 78 inches away.)

While you may not be as excited about this particular version as we are, it’s a milestone of what phones and projectors will be capable of as technology continues to improve. This is only the beginning, friends.

Apple Launches Logic Pro X with Virtual Drummer and Flex Pit

Apple today announced the launch of Logic Pro X, the next-generation version of its professional audio software. The release brings a completely revamped Logic Pro application including a new virtual drummer and integrated pitch editing, as well as an iPad companion app.

Macstickrs

Ever caught yourself looking at the back of your Macbook Pro and thinking, this little logo sure could use some personality? Well, if you’re a minimalist guy like myself, the Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat sticker circulating around the Net is a tad much.

Thankfully, MacStickrs is here with a high quality and deceptively brilliant series of designs that give your Apple logo the personality he is lacking. You can dress yours in a series of different “faces” that include Fu Manchu, a variety of eyeglasses (including Harry Potter), and even the classic “Rollie Fingers” look.

You really want this!

Mac OSX 10.9 Banner with Wave

9to5Mac has posted a new photograph showing a wave-themed banner with an X in the middle, similar to the iOS 7 banner that was revealed earlier today. The spartan and minimalistic banners are significant change from the style used in previous years, particularly the OS X banner below.
